Somerset West and Taunton District Council is the local authority for the Somerset West and Taunton district from 1 April 2019.

Elections and membership

, the councillors of the Somerset West and Taunton shadow authority were all councillors from both Taunton Deane and West Somerset district councils. Councillors served in this capacity until elections to the new authority were held in May 2019.
