Spain was represented by Paloma San Basilio at the Eurovision Song Contest 1985, held in Gothenburg, Sweden. San Basilio was selected internally by Radiotelevisión Española, the Spanish broadcaster, to represent the country at the contest in Sweden with the song "La fiesta terminó".At Eurovision
