Srinu Vaitla


Srinu Vaitla is an Indian film director associated with Telugu cinema. He is from the village of Kandulapalem, East Godavari District. He is well known for making movies in the Telugu Cinema, specially in the genre of comedy and commercial entertainment. His first mainstream movie as a director was Nee Kosam starring Ravi Teja and Maheswari. Though the movie was an average grosser at the box office, it was critically acclaimed. He shot to fame with his second movie Anandam, released in 2001.
This can be observed in his movies Sontham, Venky, Andarivaadu, Dhee, Dubai Seenu, Ready, King and Namo Venkatesa. He played a cameo in Rainbow and Parama Veera Chakra. Two of the biggest blockbusters in his career were Dookudu starring Mahesh Babu and Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Baadshah starring NTR Jr and Kajal Aggarwal. Since Venky, he has successfully collaborated with Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan who guide him in writing and screenplay, respectively.
He has also worked with top actors in Tollywood like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, and Ram Charan.
