Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath


Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath is the former Chargé d’Affaires, ad interim of the Embassy of the United States of America in Singapore. She served in that role from January 20, 2017 until July 26, 2019.

Biography

Previous assignments include Minister Counselor for Public Diplomacy in Mexico, Deputy Chief of Mission in Mali, Senior Deputy Director for Public Diplomacy in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Career Development Officer at the Department of State, Public Diplomacy positions in Tunisia and Mali, Staff Assistant and Political Officer at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, and Consular Officer in Mexico.
Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Syptak-Ramnath was an officer in the U.S. Navy. A graduate of Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, she is married and has two daughters. She speaks French and Spanish.
In November 2015, Syptak-Ramnath was awarded the Department of State’s Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Public Diplomacy.
