Steve Edwards (physicist)


Steve Edwards was a Professor Emeritus at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. A native of Florida, Edwards earned bachelor's and master's degrees in physics from Florida State University in 1952 and 1954, respectively. After earning his PhD from Johns Hopkins University in 1960, Edwards returned to FSU and was a professor in the Department of Physics for more than 30 years. He also served as the Dean of the Faculties and Deputy Provost for more than 10 years, until his retirement in 2003.
Steve Edwards was a colleague of Paul Dirac, a Nobel Prize winning research professor from Florida State University.
He died in his Tallahassee home on May 26, 2016.
