Stroud Mall

The Stroud Mall is a shopping mall located in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. It is located in The Poconos region of Pennsylvania, just a few minutes from the New Jersey border adjacent to Pennsylvania Route 611 and Interstate 80 exit 305. The mall is one level with the exception of the former Sears, which is two. A free covered parking deck is located behind the former Sears store at the east entrance and northeast entrances to the mall.

History

The mall was opened in 1978 and renovated in 2002. On November 8, 2018, it was announced the Sears store at Stroud Mall would close by February 2019 as part of a plan to close 40 stores nationwide. Sears was also the site of the first escalators in Monroe County when they moved from downtown to the mall in 1995. ShopRite moved into the mall in November 2019 in the former space of The Bon-Ton, replacing the store in downtown Stroudsburg. EFO Furniture Outlet has opened a store in the mall on January 24, 2020, replacing the first floor of Sears.

Anchors

The mall features a Cinemark 12-screen theater, as well as 3 anchor tenants and over 65 stores, restaurants and services. The theater was originally an AMC Loews Theatres 7, which closed down and reopened as Cinemark in November 2011.
