Stuart Wright is an English former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. He played at representative level for Great Britain, England and Lancashire, and at club level for Wigan and Widnes, as a, i.e. number 2 or 5.

Stuart Wright won caps for England while at Wigan in the 1975 Rugby League World Cup against New Zealand, while at Widnes in 1977 against Wales, in 1978 against France, and Wales, in 1979 against Wales, and France, in 1980 against Wales, and won caps for Great Britain while at Widnes in 1977 against France, New Zealand, and Australia, and in 1978 against Australia. Along with James "Jim" Leytham, Stanley "Stan" Moorhouse, Peter Norburn, Keith Fielding, Martin Offiah and Sam Tomkins, having scored four tries, Stuart Wright jointly holds the record for the most tries scored in an England match, scoring four tries against Wales at Knowsley Road, St. Helens on 28 May 1978.
Stuart Wright played, i.e. number 2, and scored a try in Widnes' 12-3 victory over Wakefield Trinity in the 1979 Challenge Cup Final during the 1978–79 season at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 5 May 1979, in front of a crowd of 94,218.
