Sub Urban (musician)


Daniel Virgil Maisonneuve, known professionally as Sub Urban, is an American singer, producer and songwriter.

Biography

Daniel Virgil Maisonneuve was born in October 22, 1999 and grew up in New Jersey, where he is currently based. Before he became as popular, he frequently collaborated in 2017 and 2018 with British producer DNMO, creating tracks such as "Sick of You" and "Broken", which are the most popular tracks from DNMO according to Spotify. Maisonneuve states in his Genius bio that "most of his inspiration has derived from artists such as K. Flay, EDEN, Aries, verzache, Joji, Cage The Elephant and NoMBe".
On March 13, 2020, Daniel released his first studio album, titled Thrill Seeker, where he has the participation of the South Korean hip-hop artist, REI AMI, with the song "Freak", accompanied by video and official audio.
In addition, it was announced that Daniel together with the Dutch singer-songwriter, Naaz Mohammad or simply Naaz, will be the opening act '"K-12 Tour Part 2"' from dates in North America and Europe, from the American singer, songwriter, writer, director, photographer, dancer and actress, Melanie Martinez. However, in March 2020, the seven tour dates scheduled for the end of the month were postponed due to the 2019-20 coronavirus pandemic, causing the tour to end prematurely. Dates had been previously postponed from the first leg of the tour due to the virus.
