Suchań


Suchań is a town in Stargard County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland. Its recorded population is 1,490.
Suchań is positioned on the Reczek river, a tributary of the Ina which in turn feeds into the River Oder. The Polish National road 10 connecting Szczecin with Bydgoszcz and Toruń passes through the town. Stargard is the next substantial town, located along this road to the west.
Suchań/Zachan was granted town rights by 1487, receiving German settlers from the west.
The town's main historic landmarks are the Gothic church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the old watermill.
