Sun Ta-chuan


Sun Ta-chuan, also known as Paelabang Danapan in the Puyuma language, is a Taiwanese educator and politician. He served as the Minister of the Council of Indigenous Peoples of the Executive Yuan from 2009 to 2013, and has been Vice President of the Control Yuan since 2014. He is a member of the Puyuma tribe in Taiwan.

Education

Sun received his bachelor's degree in Chinese literature from National Taiwan University, and bachelor's degree in philosophy from Fu Jen Catholic University. He then earned his doctoral degree in sinology from Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium.

Early career

Before entering the political world, Sun was a professor at the National Chengchi University in Taipei.
