Susan Sandvig


Susan Sandvig-Shobe is an American former long track speed skater, who was active in the early 1980s. She is currently an ISU referee.

Career

Sandvig represented her nation at the World Allround Speed Skating Championships for Women in 1981, finishing 28th overall. Between the 1980–81 and 1982-83 speed skating season she also competed at other international competitions in Inzell and Berlin, Germany.
After her career she became an ISU referee, beging a referee at international speed skating competitions. As of 2020 she is still a referee.

Family

Her father, Gene Sandvig is also a former speed skater who competed at the 1956 Winter Olympics. Her aunt Connie Sandvig was a speed skater who competed at national level and the daughtre of Connie, Amy Peterson competed as a short track speed skater at five winter Olympics.
