Taranaki Open


The Taranaki Open is an annual 72 hole golf tournament staged on the New Plymouth Golf Club's Ngamotu Links in New Zealand. Since 2004 it has been sponsored by Olex and been the flagship event of the Golf Tour of New Zealand founded by former touring professional Greg Turner.
The field brings together amateur golfers along with professional golfers competing together for overall honours though amongst each group for prizes.
Prior to 2004 the tournament was run over two days, with 36 holes on each day.
