Thabit ibn Qays

Thabit ibn Qais was a Sahaba, a first generation Muslim, someone who was converted by Muhammad himself.
He played a prominent role in the meeting at the Saqifah.
Two alternative accounts of his death exist. The more credible one attributes it to falling in a battlefield in Najd during the Rashidun Caliphate period.
Alternatively, Chinese Muslims hold that he was involved in the introduction of Islam to China during the Tang dynasty period when he reached China over land and died of in the western Chinese province of Xinjiang.
