The Red Rope


The Red Rope is a 1937 American Western film directed by S. Roy Luby and written by George H. Plympton. The film stars Bob Steele, Lois January, Forrest Taylor, Charles King, Karl Hackett and Bobby Nelson. The film was released on July 19, 1937, by Republic Pictures.

Plot

A man walks into a saloon to find several dead bodies and a bloody knife. He walks into the bathroom to find a man hung with a red rope and a note in his pocket. He follows the clues set by the killer and catches him, then hands him over to the sheriff anonymously. The final scene is him riding out to find out what happened in another town to investigate and hopefully solve another murder.
