The Tarlton Theatre

The Tarlton Theatre is an historic theater located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Originally known as the West Theater, the building was constructed in 1924-1925 in the Art Deco and Art Moderne styles. It was reopened December 2018 as a performing arts theater with bars and a restaurant.

History

The West Theater was designed and constructed as an automobile dealership in 1924-1925, and was converted to a single-screen cinema in 1941.
After being vacant for years, the building and adjoining properties were purchased and restored in 2018 and renamed The Tarlton Theatre, for Green Bay businessman and co-owner Tarlton Knight.
