Thunder Warrior

Thunder Warrior is an Italian action film written and directed by Fabrizio De Angelis. It had two sequels, one released in 1985 and the other in 1988. The premise borrows heavily from First Blood.

Premise

A native American named Thunder returns home after a long absence and finds out a construction company is destroying a Native burial ground, in breach of the treaty signed a century ago between his grandfather with the US government. He tries to alert the local authorities, only to be escorted out of the county by one of the sheriff's deputies, who orders him to stay out of town. Thunder returns anyway after being assaulted by construction workers and the situation just keeps escalating, leading to a war between the lone Native warrior and the entire sheriff department.

Cast

Parts of the film were shot in Monument Valley, Utah.
