Tigamibena


Tigamibena was an Ancient city and bishopric in Roman Mauretania.
It was located in modern Algeria. It is now a Latin Catholic titular see.

History

Tigamibena was one of many towns in the Roman province of Mauretania Caesariensis, important enough to become a suffragan of its capital Caesarea in Mauretania, the Metropolitan Archbishopric. It faded, like most in Roman Africa.

Titular see

The diocese was nominally restored in 1933 as Titular bishopric of Tigamibena, Latin adjective Tigamibenen.
