Tino Chrupalla


Tino Chrupalla is a German politician, and Member of the Bundestag since 2017 of the Alternative for Germany Party. In November 2019 he was nominated by Alexander Gauland to replace him as co-chairman and duly elected to that position.

Life and politics

Chrupalla was born 1975 in Weißwasser in eastern Germany and passed his Meister exam as House painter and decorator in 2003.
Chrupalla entered the AfD in 2015 and defeated the later Minister-President of Saxony Michael Kretschmer in the electoral ward of Görlitz ] in the 2017 German federal election.
He is one of five vice-chief whips of the AfD federal parliamentary group.
