Tlaltecatzin
Tlaltecatzin, according to some sources, was a son of the Aztec tlatoani Moctezuma II. In the Noche Triste, Night of Sorrows, he was taken out of Tenochtitlán as a prisoner with other Aztec noble men, also prisoners, one of them was his brother Chimalpopoca. The Aztecs killed Montezuma’s sons Chimalpopoca, Tlaltecatzin.
According to another source, Tlaltecatzin was a Tepanec prince who guided the Spaniards under Hernán Cortés, and was killed on the Night of Sorrows.
