Trevor Baxendale


Trevor Baxendale is a writer. His first Doctor Who novel The Janus Conjunction was published by BBC Books in 1998. He has also written novels for Torchwood and Blake's 7, as well as short stories, comic strips and audio drama scripts.

Life and career

Baxendale wrote some short stories about the TV series Doctor Who which were published at a local fanzine. When Doctor Who had its 25th anniversary, Baxendale painted the cover of the fanzine Frame. He went to an art college but his attempts to publish any more work were not very successful until he got his first paid work as an author, writing the Doctor Who novel The Janus Conjunction for BBC Books in 1998. More work followed after this including audio stories and comics.
