Truro Crown Court


Truro Crown Court is a Grade II* listed building with Historic England, in Truro, Cornwall. It was designed by Eldred Evans and David Shalev and won the RIBA Building of the Year in 1988.

History

The Court occupies the site of a former medieval castle and, later, that of a cattle market.

Building

Building began in February 1986 and finished in September 1988, costing a total of £3.7 million.

Facilities

The Court has disabled access and toilet facilities, interview rooms, video conferencing and Prison Video Link capabilities, baby changing facilities and an on site cafe. It does not have on site parking.
