Tya Janè Ramey


Tya Jané Ramey is a Trinidadian beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2019. She represented Trinidad and Tobago at the Miss World 2019 competition and was crowned Miss World Caribbean 2019.

Personal life

Tya is a model, saxophonist, dancer, activist and national volleyball champion. As Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2019, Tya advocated for the integration of migrants into Trinidadian society and the improved quality of life for migrants during economic and social conflicts. Her degree in Social Work has enabled her to assist youths in conflict with the law as well as the overall well-being of children throughout Trinidad and Tobago.

Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2019

On June 16, 2019, Ramey represented Five Rivers was crowned as Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2019 held at Naparima Bowl in San Fernando. She succeeded outgoing by Ysabel Bisnath.

Miss World 2019

As Miss Trinidad and Tobago, Ramey competed at Miss World 2019 held on December 14, 2019 in London. She placed top 10 in the Top Model Competition, 3rd in the Sports Challenge and won her Head-to-Head Challenge earning a place in the Top 40 contestants.
During the coronation night at Miss World 2019, Miss Jamaica was selected as Miss World 2019. Miss Trinidad and Tobago was therefore crowned Miss World Caribbean 2019 as she was the 2nd best contestant from the Caribbean region and Jamaica had clinched the world title.
As Miss World Caribbean 2019, Tya is required to accompany Miss World 2019 on her worldwide tour and BWAP advocacy.
