Umar Salamov
Umar Isaevich Salamov is a Russian professional boxer who held the IBO light-heavyweight title in 2016.
Move to America
In May 2016, Salamov moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to start at a new training camp in Kevin Barry's gym. Barry is well known for training legendary boxers like David Tua, former WBA World middleweight Champion Maselino Masoe, three time world champion Beibut Shumenov and former IBF World Super Featherweight Champion Robbie Peden. Barry is training Salamov, alongside IBF Mandatory Heavyweight challenger and ranked 1st in WBO Joseph Parker and WBO ranked 12th Izu Ugonoh. Since moving into this training camp, Salamov has won the IBO World title.Professional titles held
