Tiffany Minerals

The Ute railcrossing is the site of the Tiffany Minerals Company mill that operated in the early 1940s. The location was associated with the Tiffany Minerals Company quarry as of 1946–47. In 1955, it was reported that the quartzite that was mined by Tiffany Minerals at the Eureka deposit located 10 miles northwest of Ute siding was found to be too hard for low-cost milling.
