Vadodara Express


The 12927 / 12928 Vadodara Express is a superfast train belonging to Indian Railways that runs between Mumbai Central and Vadodara in India. It is a daily service. It operates as train number 12927 from Mumbai Central to Vadodara and as train number 12928 in the reverse direction.

Coaches

The Vadodara Express has 1 AC 1st Class cum AC 2 tier, 1 AC 2 tier, 6 AC 3 tier, 11 Sleeper class, 4 General class coaches. At times, it also carries a High Capacity Parcel Van.
As with most train services in India, Coach Composition may be amended at the discretion of Indian Railways depending on demand.

Service

It is a daily train & covers the distance of 392 kilometres in 6 hours 15 mins as 12927 Vadodara Express & 6 hours 20 mins as 12928 Vadodara Express.

Traction

Prior to February 2012, Dual traction WCAM 1 or WCAM 2/2P locos would haul the train between Mumbai Central & Vadodara.
Western Railways completed DC Electric Conversion to AC on 5 February 2012. It is now regularly hauled by a Vadodara based WAP 4E or WAP 5 locomotive.
