Valentyn Zghursky


Valentyn Arsentiyovych Zghursky was a head of the Executive Committee of the Kiev City Council.

Biography

During World War II as a teenager he worked on Soviet railways. After graduating the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute in 1954 as an electrical engineer, in 1950s-1970s Zghursky worked at the Soviet Defense company "Radiopribor" in Kiev making there a career and eventually becoming its general director. Radiopribor was also known as the Korolyov Production Union.
After fall of the Soviet Union in 1994 Radiopribor was transformed into a Meridian Factory.
