Valkyrie Press

Valkyrie Press was a boutique British publisher of comics. Established in 1987 to publish Redfox, they also later published Bryan Talbot's The Adventures of Luther Arkwright, both of which won Eagle Awards. The company ceased operating in 1989.

History

Redfox won the 1987 Eagle Award for Favourite New Comic.
The Adventures of Luther Arkwright won three 1988 Eagle Awards, for Favourite Character, Favourite New Comic, and Favourite Comic Cover.
After publishing all ten issues of The Adventures of Luther Arkwright and the last ten issues of Redfox, Valkyrie Press ended their publishing operation. The previous issues of Redfox were published by Harrier Comics. Many of the comics that Valkyrie Press published are still available for purchase online.
