Vandling is a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 751 at the 2010 census. It is located immediately south of Forest City, which is in Susquehanna County.

Demographics

As of the 2010 Census, there were 751 people, 309 households, and 203 families residing in the borough. The population density was 577.7 people per square mile. There were 340 housing units at an average density of 102.1 per square kilometer;. The racial makeup of the borough was 96% White, 1.3% Black, 0.7% American Indian, 0.3% Asian, 0.5% from some other race, and 1.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.1% of the population.
There were 309 households, out of which 27.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.8% were married couples living together, 10.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.3% were non-families. 27.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.43 and the average family size was 2.95.
In the borough the population was spread out, with 22.2% under the age of 18, 60.4% from 18 to 64, and 17.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42.5 years.
