Vaughan Southgate


Vaughan Robert Southgate DL PPFLS FRSM FRSB is a British medical parasitologist.

Life

Vaughan Robert Southgate was born on 13 May 1944. He was educated at Bedford Modern School, Aberystwyth University and Christ's College, Cambridge.
Southgate was President of the Linnean Society of London between 2009 and 2012. He has also been a Deputy Lieutenant of Bedfordshire since 2009 and was High Sheriff of Bedfordshire in 2007.
