Vilis Samsons


Vilis Samsons - scientist from Soviet Union. He was born on December 3, 1920 in Alūksne Municipality and died on September 17, 2011 in Latvia. He graduated from the Higher Party School at the Central Committee of the CPSU. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War 1st class, the Order of the October Revolution, the Order of the Badge of Honour, the Order of Friendship of Peoples, the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner, the Hero of the Soviet Union, the Order of the Red Banner of Labour.
