Vincent Asokan


Vincent Asokan is an Indian actor who has predominantly appeared in Tamil language films. He debuted in Aai and has mostly enacted antagonist roles. He has established a career in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu film industry. Like his father S. A. Ashokan, he is known for negative roles.

Career

Vincent Asokan made his debut in director A. Venkatesh's Aai and has since played villain in close to 30 films.
He played supporting roles in flicks like 6'2, Thotti Jaya, Chanakya, Bangaram, Nee Venunda Chellam, Thagapansamy, Pokkiri, Aalwar and Murugaa. He won the Best Villain Award for his role in Yogi.
In Eppodum Vendraan directed by Sivashanmugham, he makes a cameo appearance as a cop and in Ennamo Nadakkuthu, director Rajapandi cast him as a boxer. In Ramesh Selvan's Thalaivan he plays a don, which he described as an "extremely powerful character".
He played a small role in Sandamarutham which also had Sarath Kumar. In Thottal Thodarum directed by Cable Shankar, he plays a hired assassin. He said that he has "no dialogues and convey terror through menacing looks and expressions". Also he plays a thug in A. Venkatesh's Killadi and a village baddie in Arjunaraja's Mayyam Kondein.
In 2016, he played a supporting role in a suspense-drama film Ennul Aayiram, written and directed by Krishna Kumar.

Personal life

Vincent is the son of famous villain actor S. A. Ashokan. He is married and has two sons.
