Vufflens-la-Ville is a municipality of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, located in the district of Gros-de-Vaud.
Geography
Vufflens-la-Ville has an area,, of. Of this, or 61.5% is used for agricultural purposes, while or 23.0% is forested. Of the remaining land, or 13.6% is settled, or 0.9% is either rivers or lakes and or 0.9% is unproductive land.Of the built-up area, industrial buildings made up 1.5% of the total area while housing and buildings make up 7.8% and transportation infrastructure made up 3.0%. Twenty-one percent of the total land area is heavily forested and 2% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 50.2% is used for growing crops and 10% is pasture, while 1.3% is used for orchards or vine crops. Of the water in the municipality, 0.2% is in lakes and 0.7% is in rivers and streams.
The municipality was part of the Cossonay District until that district was dissolved on 31 August 2006, and Vufflens-la-Ville became part of the new district of Gros-de-Vaud.
