Vuokatti
Vuokatti is a village, a forested hill range and a rail transport location in Sotkamo, Kainuu, Finland. The village is home to more than 6,000 inhabitants, making it the second most populous urban area in Kainuu after the town center of Kajaani.
The highest hill in the region is the 345 meter high Porttivaara, the second tallest being Vuokatinvaara with its highest peak, Iso-Pölly.
There is a ski resort, sports academy, and the Katinkulta resort in Vuokatti. There is also a skiing tunnel, which makes cross-country skiing possible at all seasons. Snowboarding and snowtubing tunnels can also be found there.
