Wayne Andrews (historian)


Wayne Andrews was an American historian and architectural photographer.
He was the author of numerous books, including Architecture, Ambition and Americans, Battle for Chicago, and Siegfried`s Curse: The German Journey from Nietzsche to Hesse. Andrews graduated from Harvard University and obtained a doctorate from Columbia University in American history. His portfolio consists of 4,183 architectural photographs, mostly from America and Europe, and a small number from Mexico.
He died of a heart attack on August 17, 1987, while in Paris taking photos for his next book.
