Wazir Khan (Sirhind)


Wazir Khan was Governor of Sirhind, administering a territory of the Mughal Empire between the Sutlej and Yamuna rivers.
Wazir Khan is noted for his conflicts with the Sikhs, and became infamous for ordering the execution of Guru Gobind Singh's young sons in 1705. He was beheaded by the Sikh army led by Banda Singh Bahadur outside the Sirhind city in the Battle of Chappar Chiri in May 1710.
