Wells Lake (politician)


Wells Lake was an American farmer and politician from New York.

Life

He lived in that part of the Town of New Paltz which was separated in 1845 as the Town of Lloyd, in Ulster County, New York.
He was a member of the New York State Assembly in 1820-21; and in 1823
He was a member of the New York State Senate from 1825 to 1828, sitting in the 48th, 49th, 50th and 51st New York State Legislatures.
In 1834, he served as President of the Ulster County Jackson Republican Convention.
