William Moulsoe

William Moulsoe was the father of Mary Moulsoe Digby, who married the Gunpowder Plot conspirator Sir Everard Digby, and gave birth to Sir Kenelm Digby, noted English courtier, diplomat, natural philosopher, Roman Catholic intellectual, and founding member of the Royal Society. Moulsoe's spouse is listed on a memorial site as Alice Brian Moulsoe, which would make her roughly 100 years his senior.
Moulsoe owned and expanded Gayhurst House, whose initial construction dates to the Tudor period on the site of a Roman villa and Norman manor.
