Wyaralong, Queensland


Wyaralong is a locality in the Scenic Rim Region of South East Queensland, Australia. At the, the locality recorded a population of 20.

Geography

Wyaralong is home to the Wyaralong Dam which was built along Teviot Brook, a tributary of the Logan River.

History

Wyaralong State School opened on 30 June 1924 but closed in 1930. It reopened on 16 February 1938. It closed on 1965.
In 1940, the area was used for air gunnery practice exercises, the first in Queensland.
