Xavier Charter School


Xavier Charter School is a public charter school in Twin Falls, Idaho.

History

Xavier Charter School opened in 2007 offering kindergarten through eighth grade classes. A ninth grade class was added for the 2008–09 school year, and an eleventh grade was added for the 2009– 10 school year. and an additional grade will be added each year with the first high school class graduating in 2011. The school currently has grades K–12.

Teachers and Staff

The Head of Schools, Gary Moon, The Assistant Head of Schools, Jonathan Goss, Lead Teachers: Becky Baird, and Lisa Thompson. Three science classes, taught by Bradley Hansen, Rick McNurlin, and Page Ivey. Bradley Hansen has a degree in physics, and Rick McNurlin has a degree in chemistry. Elizabeth Copp, Amanda Loosli, and Susie Kapelaris teach 7th through 12th grade language arts. There are three history teachers, Brian Loosli, Nathan Barnhill, and Donavon Craner who also teaches French. Spanish is taught by Brenda Blanco to grades 8-12. The two art teachers are Vanessa Turner and Jason Hicks. The three math teachers are Derek Bates, Trent Siler, and Steve Canty. P.E. and dance classes are taught by Michael Ramey, Jessica Smith, and Darla Ridenour. William McGhee teaches Jr/High School band/choir, and Katie Carr teaches Drama.
