Yaqeen Ka Safar
Yakeen Ka Safar is a 2017 Pakistani television drama serial created by Momina Duraid under her production company MD Productions for her channel Hum TV. It aired from April 19, 2017 to November 1, 2017, with a total of 29 episodes. It is written by Farhat Ishtiaq based on her novel "Woh Yakeen Ka Naya Safar" and directed by Shahzad Kashmiri. Yakeen Ka Safar revolves around the journey of two individuals, Asfand and Zubiya, who changed internally after facing hardships and struggle. It is written and produced by the makers of Humsafar, Dil e Muztar, Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu, Alvida, Diyar-e-Dil, Udaari and Bin Roye. It has an ensemble cast with Ahad Raza Mir as Dr. Asfandyar, Sajjal Ali as Dr. Zubia, Shaz Khan as Daniyal and Hira Salman as Gaiti in leading roles. It premiered in Pakistan, UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and UAE with same premier date and timings.
Yakeen Ka Safar was one of 2017's highest rated program of Pakistan. It has received critical acclaim and won awards at the Hum Awards the most for the ceremony including, Best Drama Serial - Jury and Best Drama Serial - Popular for Momina Duraid. At 15th Lux Style Awards, it won two awards and four nominations.
Plot
The story starts with Zubia Khalil, a young girl mourning over her mother's sudden death caused by her father's physical violence. She has an elder brother Rehan and his wife Sheema. Her father Khalil has threatened all of them to keep their mouths shut about the cause of their mother's death. Khalil is a fiery and conservative person who has accidentally killed his wife by slapping her because she disobeyed him. The incident happened because Zubia needed to visit her friend's house for some errand and insisted her mother accompany her. Her mother had been forbidden by her father to leave the house with their driver. When her father discovered the incident he slapped her so hard she went sprawling down and the back of her head hit the bed, killing her instantly. Zubia's aunt Mahjabin arrives at the time and consoles the deeply devastated Zubia. The second storyline involves a family in Islamabad, where a family is celebrating their son Daniyal's wedding with his cousin Geti. Daniyal is a young lawyer who has recently graduated from London and also an extremely practical and honest person. Asfandyar is Daniyal's younger brother who would leave for Karachi for medical studies after his brother's wedding. He is a lively and comical person and ambitious as well. The family maintains a significant reputation among society as Usman is a successful lawyer too. Asfandyar is engaged to his other cousin Faryal. Her father is Asfand's father's brother.The third storyline involves Noori, a naive girl living in a rural village of Sindh. Noori is kidnapped by a minister's son Jehangir Shah, who tragically gang rapes her with his two friends. She is rescued the next day by a man who brings her to the hospital where the doctor calls her family and informs them of the incident. Eventually the family decides to stay mute since they are poor and unable to bring allegation against a minister. Noori's father goes to the police station to report against Jehangir Shah for raping Noori but instead the police threaten him. After the incident, Noori's family is insulted in the village so Noori decides to take revenge on Jehangir and his friends. She runs away from her house and is found by and taken to Karachi by Rumana, an NGO lady in Karachi. Rumana informs Daniyal about the Noori gang-rape incident. Daniyal travels to Karachi, meets Noori, and decides to file a case against Jehangir Shah and his friends. During fighting against Jehangir Shah in the court Daniyal was threatened a lot and even was thrown into prison in the case of raping his secretary. His family forces him to close the case but he doesn't. After some days when Daniyal was in his office, he was killed by some people of Jehangir Shah. After hearing this all Noori went to the Jehangir Shah conference and kills everyone. Meanwhile, Asfandayar and Faryal's engagement breaks up due to Daniyal. After all this Asfand decides to leave for America for completing his education.
Because of the bad behavior of her father, Zubia falls in love with someone from her college named Ramiz but when she went to his home he decided to abuse her. Zubia instantly ran from his flat and Asfand saves her. After this Zubia was greatly abused by her family. After some time she completed her MBBS and after that, her father died. Due to some reasons, she was thrown out of the house by her brother. She went to her aunt's home and then she left that home too and decided to work in Asfand's hospital.
After many years Asfanyar came back and made his hospital. Zubia came for an interview and was selected. She is scolded a lot by Dr. Asfandyar and that's why she also calls him Hitler. Asfandyar is now very intelligent and arrogant. He became a very angry person after his brother's death. Zubia and Geeti become very good friends. Zubia didn't know that she was the sister in law on Asfandyar. Asfandyar soon realizes that he is in love with Dr. Zubia. Zubia searched and found that he was the person who saved her from Ramiz. When Zubia learns that he is also the brother in law of Geeti she became angry and didn't talk to Geeti for days. After some time Zubia realizes that Geeti and Dr. Haroon can get married. On the other side, Asfandyar's family wants him to get married to Zubia. In the mean time, Faryal came back and she wishes to marry Asfi because her husband divorced her. But Asfi did not agree to marry her and she wents back to her home Asfi proposes Zobia but she rejects the proposal. After some days Zubia's brother came hospital to meet Zubia. She became very tensed and then tried to commit suicide. Asfandyar operates her and she got fine and then they get married. Meanwhile, Dr. Haroon and Geeti also get married.

Production
Development
Yakeen Ka Safar was developed by Hum TV's senior producer Momina Duraid of MD Productions, the channel hired the director Shahzad Kashmiri who previously directed Bin Roye for the same channel. Along with Kashmiri, Mirza Zeeshan Baig was finalised as the art director, it was Baig's return to Hum Television after he directedDiyar-e-Dil, Mann Mayal, Sanam, Dil Banjaara and Alif Allah Aur Insaan for the same channel. Tameen Nazami and Safdar Hussain Rind were the cinematographers. Story of serial is based on award-winning writer Farhat Ishtiaq's novel Woh Yakeen Ka Naya Safar. Screenplay was also written by Ishtiaq while script composing was done by Muhammad Wasi-ul-Din who has previously worked with her with the channel's series Diyar-e-Dil and Bin Roye. Farhat has previously worked Momina, when she wrote mega-hit drama serials in Pakistan television history Humsafar, Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu, Diyar-e-Dil,. Bin Roye and Udaari. Song composition is done by Waqar Ali and Suhail Haider while background score is given by MAD Music, Hadiqa Kiani and Richa Sharma finalised to perform the OST. The show approximately airs weekly episode for 35–40 minutes every Wednesday.There were several discussions laid on its time slot, previously it was announced that the show will premier on April 12, 2017 airing an episode on Friday's replacing Dil Banjaara,. However, since Dil-e-Janam bought lower ratings to channel's Wednesday slot, Yakeen Ka Safar was shifted to Wednesdays and was delayed till April 15, 2017 due to promotional reasons.
Casting
, Ahad Raza Mir, Shaaz Khan and Hira Salman were selected to portray the leading roles of Zubiya, Asfandyar, Daniyal and Geeti. Sajal Ali made her television comeback two years after her 2015 Hum TV series Gul-e-Rana. After completing her Bollywood debut MOM, the actress returned to portray the role of Dr. Zubiya and also signed O Rangreza for the same channel. Ahad Raza Mir who made his television debut in Sammi was finalised after his success as portraying the role of Salar in Sammi. The actor received critical acclaim and appraisal for his role as Dr. Asfandyar. Film actor Shaz Khan was finalised to portray the role of Daniyal in his filming session in channels upcoming film Parwaaz Hay Junoon. Hira Salman returned to Hum TV after her 2015 TV serial Preet Na Kariyo Koi for portraying the role of Geeti, Salman joined filming after completing her ARY project Sun Yaara, alongside Salman her husband Salman Saqib was also cast where he portrayed the role of Dr. Haroon. Production house also chose actors Farhan Ali Agha, Mohammed Ehtishauddin and Maryam Nafees for portraying the roles of Usman, Noori, Khalil and Khajista.Release
Broadcast
Yakeen Ka Safar premiered on 19 April 2017, It aired a weekly episode every Wednesdays at 8:00pm. It was aired on Hum Europe in UK, on Hum TV USA in USA and Hum TV Mena on UAE, with same timings and premiered date. All International broadcasting aired the series in accordance with their standard times. It was broadcast by Hum Network's new channel Hum World HD for US and Canada.Music
The title song of Yakeen Ka Safar was composed by Waqar Ali, while Naseer Tarbani penned the series. The background score for the series is done by Mad Music. The OST was performed by Hadiqa Kiani. It marks the return of the singer to Hum TV, since performed the channels hit drama series Udaari's OST in 2016.
