Yeresere School is a public school for grades 1 through 6 in Yeresere, Mizan, Dogu’a Tembien, Tigray, Ethiopia.

Description

The Yeresere School has four classrooms.
As of 2019, the school had 304 students, 135 girls and 169 boys.

In 2019, no water was available at the school.
There was a hand-dug well with handpump and the school had a roof water harvesting system, but both installations were damaged.
Up to 2019, there was a toilet building, in relatively good condition; the latrine pit is emptied every two years.
Through nudging approach, the students are sensitised for using the sanitation and water facilities.

Transportation

All children travel to school on foot. Many students will walk more than an hour, twice a day, to come to school.
