Zahira College, Matale


Zahira College Matale,, is one of the oldest school in Matale district, situated in the heart of the city.

History

The college was founded on 03rd of August 1942 by Mr. T.B Jayah. He initiated this college during the colonial period to revive the Sri Lankan Muslim community and to uplift the quality of education.

Houses

The names are given as an honor to the past headmasters of the college. The houses compete to win inter-house games annually.
