Zelda Tinska


Milica Zelda Tinska is a Serbian actress who lives and works in London, UK. She has appeared in various TV series and films alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Richard Madden, Paterson Joseph, Daniel Craig and many other renowned actors.

Career

Zelda trained as a ballerina in the renowned École supérieure de danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower, France, and later at the London Studio Centre, a college for performing arts in London, UK. She was a professional jazz, ballet and neoclassical dancer prior to becoming an actress in 1999, after being cast in the first role she auditioned for, as Sonja in The Beach opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.
As an actress, she appeared in Waking The Dead, The Bill, The Beach, The Mother, Mathilde and many other productions, and has performed in English, French, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Russian and Albanian.
Zelda also appeared in a Tamasha Theatre Company sell out play Balti Kings, that opened at Lyric Hammersmith and Edinburgh Festival and went on a six-month UK tour. She played a female lead role of Mariam, and won excellent reviews.

Early life

Tinska is the daughter of a famous Serbian actress, ballerina, columnist, talk show host and writer Jelena Tinska and Dragoslav Lutovac, a film and television director. She has a sister, Ljubica Yentl Tinska, who is an artist.
Zelda's maternal grandfather, Aleksandar Sasa Petrovic is one of the most respected Serbian translators, who translated numerous books by Shakespeare, John Updike, Salman Rushdie, Ernest Hemingway, Hubert Selby and many more, whose father was Woislav M. Petrovitch - Late Attaché to the Serbian Royal Legation to the Court of St. James.
Zelda's grand-uncle Stanislav Keseljevic, was married to Denise Winckler, a daughter of France Lumière, who was sister of Auguste Lumière and Louis Lumière.
