Ziaul Mustafa Razvi Qadri


Mufti Allamah Zia ul Mustafa Aazmi Qadri Razvi Amjadi mostly Known Huzoor Muhaddis al Kabeer is scholar of Hadith, orator, author and known scholar of Sunni Islam. He is serving as Naa’ib Qaazi ul Quz’zat fil Hind under Mufti Asjad Raza Khan, who is considered as Chief Qazi by Sunni Barelvi movement
Zia al-Mustafa has taught Bukhari and Muslim hadiths for over 50 years in India and has memorized 60,000 Hadiths with their chain of narrators and authenticity. In 2016, he was recognized by the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic thought as one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world.

Birth and Family

He was born on 28 December 1935 in Ghosi, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father Sadr ush Shariah was Grand Mufti of India and a successor of Mujadid Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Qadri. His birth name was Muhammad Waahid Ali.
Allamah Zia ul Mustafa the son of Huzoor Sadr ush Shariah, Allamah Hakeem Mufti Abul Ula Muhammad Amjad Ali the son of Maulana Hakeem Jamalud’deen, the son of Maulana Khuda Bakhsh, the son of Maulana Khayrud’deen.

Education

He attained his basic education and upbringing under his father Huzoor Sadr ush Shariah and under his maternal uncle and scholar Faizul Aarifeen Ghulaam Aasi. He enrolled at Jamia Ashrafia Mubarakpur under Shah Abdul Aziz Muradabadi Mubarakpuri. He studied Ilme Qur’aan, Tafseer of the Qur’aan, Hadith, Usoole hadith, Fiqh, Usoole Fiqh, Ilme Ta’beer, Ilme Tawqeet, Ilme Nujoomi, Philosophy, Mantiq, Ilm-e-Falakiyaat. He graduated at the age of 19 from Jamia Ashrafia in 1377.
His teacher Shah Abdul Aziz Muradabadi said “Whatever I have attained from Huzoor Sadrush Shariah, I have given all of it to Zia ul Mustafa”.

Life and Services

He was appointed as faculty at Jamia Ashrafia Mubarakpur, Azamgarh, India at the age of 22. He is president of Sharai Council of India and heads annual Fiqahi seminars at Bareilly. He is founder of two Madrasas Taibatul Ulma Jamia Amjadia Rizvia and Kulyatul Banatul Amjadia. The institute for girls education was established at the request of his mother Hazra in 1981
He was appointed as a Deputy grand Mufti of India, in the 16th Annual Fiqahi Seminar in March 2019 held at Bareilly. His several thousands students have become scholars and are associated with Sunni Sufi movements.
He won the competition at Jamia Ashrafia and was conferred the title, ‘Mumtaz ul Fuqaha’. His other titles includes Sultaan ul Asaatiza, Tarjumaan E Maslak E Raza, Qaazi E Islam, Ra’ees ul Munaazireen, Muhadith E Kabeer, Ameer ul Mo’mineen fil Hadith, Naa’ib Qaazi ul Quz’zat fil Hind.

Books and Treaties

He is presently writing the Sharah of Hadith book Tirmizi Shareef.

Fatawa writing

He wrote Fatawa under his spiritual teacher Mufti E Azam E Hind, Muhammad Mustafa Raza Khan Qadri Barkaati Razvi and has written thousands of Fatawas for over a period of 50 years.
He was appointed as successor of Mufti Azam-e-Hind Mustafa Akhtar Rida Khan also.

Debater or Munazir

He is debater on Islam and specialized in Ahle Sunnah beliefs and faith and has won famous Debates of Bajardiha Banaras U.P., Munaazira Badayoun U.P., Munaazira Baanudchatru Pilamau, Munaazira Daamda Puruliya West Bengal, Munaazira Malikpur Katihar, Bihar and Munaazira Hiranpur, Muwaishi Haat Paakor Banaras against Deobandi, Wahabi scholars.
He regularly heads Islamic seminars and conferences all over India and in other parts of the world.

Legacy

One of his students and Islamic scholar Maulana Aftab Moosa Qasim Razvi has established Maulana Imam Mustafa Raza Research Centre at Durban, South Africa.
