Zin Wine


Zin Wine is a Myanmar Academy Award winning film actor. He gained popularity after starring in the films Thingyan Moe, Ma Ma Moe and Dirary. He won his first Myanmar Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1997 with the film The Noble Heart and he got his second academy award after 17 years with the film Made In Heart for Best Supporting Actor in 2014 Myanmar Academy Award".
He is the former chairman of Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, retired in 2019.

Life

Zin Wine was born to parents, Sein Lwin and his wife Yi Yi Shein. Zin Wine married Khin Nwe Nwe Tun. They have two sons, Chan Myae Htay Lwin and Kyaw Kyaw Htay Lwin. His son, Kyaw Kyaw Htay Lwin is also an actor, known by his stage name Min Maw Kun.

Career

Director Maung Tin Oo has been put into the film work by him. Firstly, he studied history and the script from director Maung Tin Oo. And then, He studied art work at Sho Ma Wa U Kyaw's Art School and cameraman Aye Thein.
In 1981, he made his acting debut with a leading role in the film Than Yaw Zin Shi Dal with Ye Aung and Moht Moht Myint Aung, Khine Khin Oo and Than Than Soe.
In 1985, he took pivotal role in the film Thingyan Moe alongside Nay Aung, Khin Than Nu and May Than Nu, directed by Maung Tin Oo.
