Book of Love Club Tour '86

The Book of Love Club Tour '86 was a 1986-1987 U.S. concert tour by American electronic group Book of Love, in support of the act's eponymous debut album, Book of Love, which was released in April 1986. Three weeks prior to the tour, the band had finished a 12-week tour as the opening act for Depeche Mode on their European and North American legs of the Black Celebration Tour
The Club Tour '86 began in early August 1986, spanning seven months and over 47 shows, eventually ending with a final string of club dates in late-February/early March 1987 with various breaks in the schedule. At times throughout the tour, various local bands in each city functioned as an opening act.
The first show of the official tour took place at Spit in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 8, 1986. In November 1986, during their second jaunt of the tour, the band played two shows with 'Til Tuesday in Kingston, RI and Bloomsburg, PA. December 1986, saw the band head out to play a string of sold out shows in Texas and Louisiana. The band then took time out of their tour schedule from mid-December through January for band member Ted Ottaviano to remix the final single from the album, "Modigliani " at Soundworks Studio in Manhattan. The final leg of the tour began on February 14, 1987, Valentine's Day, in Columbia, South Carolina, and ended in early March with two shows in the state of Michigan, which effectively ended the support and promotion of their debut album.
The setlist consisted solely of the various tracks from their debut album, Book of Love.
