Brian Love


Brian Love is an American actor, singer, dancer, and martial artist. He is from Lorain, Ohio. He was part of the first national tour of Whoopi Goldberg's Broadway hit musical Sister Act.
Love was a swing and Simba understudy in The Lion King. He also originated the same role on the Gazelle National Tour. He has played the role of Benjamin Coffin III in the first and second national tours of Rent, where he performed in the United States and in Tokyo, Japan. In addition, he was a featured ensemble member in at the Kodak Theater, starring Val Kilmer, Adam Lambert, Nita Whitaker, and American fitness star Shaun T. Regionally, he has been a Guest Artist with the Great Lakes Theater Festival in the show Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?, played Jim in Big River at Cain Park Theater, been a swing with the cabaret show The All Night Strut at Cleveland Playhouse Square, and has played Valentin in Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Love resides in Jupiter, Florida where he is an acting instructor and private vocal coach.

Broadway credits

Love holds belts in three martial arts: Taekwondo – of which he is a second degree black belt, Okinawan Karate, and Kung Fu. He is also proficient in self-defense, weapons training, and Hapkido, a Korean martial art similar to that of Aikido. Love is a former California State Champion in Taekwondo in both sparring and forms with USA Taekwondo.
