Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg


Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg, Manitoba is the largest cemetery in Western Canada. It contains the graves of more than 200,000 people and 11,000 veterans. It also holds more than 6500 servicemen and women, and includes 470 war graves. The Stone of Remembrance, which was unveiled in 1960 by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, honours the sailors, soldiers, and airmen of the Commonwealth who served in both world wars and who are buried in Canada.
