Chauncey Hare

Chauncey Hare was an American fine-art photographer best known for his photographs of American office spaces.
By the 1980s, Hare had received multiple Guggenheim fellowships and been featured in exhibitions at major institutions. While a photographer, he worked in an environmental engineering department. His photography books include Interior America, This Was Corporate America and the expanded edition of the former, Protest Photographs.
In 1985, he abandoned photography and returned to school, becoming a therapist. A book of his from that era is Work Abuse: How to Recognize and Survive It.
