Chiang family
The Chiang family is a political family of the Republic of China, a polity based on the Chinese mainland from 1912 to 1949 and on Taiwan since 1949. Other than serving as the head of state of the ROC, Chiang family members have also held key leadership positions in the ROC government and Kuomintang.Origin
The Chiang family ancestral home is in Heqiao, a town in Yixing, Jiangsu, about southwest of central Wuxi and from the shores of Lake Tai. Eventually the clan settled in Chiang was born in Xikou, a town in Fenghua, Zhejiang, about west of central Ningbo, where Chiang Kai-shek was born.Family tree
